Users’ roles

  • The Administrator has access to all the features within a single site.
  • The Editor can publish and manage posts including the posts of other users.
  • The Author can publish and manage their own posts.
  • The Contributor can write and manage their own posts but cannot publish them.
  • The Subscriber can only manage their profile.

The dashboard

Usually, to assess the dashboard go to yourdomain.com/wp-admin. But at cobra network we use a more secure, customized URL. You can use the various menu options in the sidebar

Pages vs posts

Posts are blog content listed in a reverse chronological order (newest content on top). Pages are static , timeless entities such as the “about” page.

Gutenberg blocks

The “plus” icon lets you select Gutenberg blocks and add them to your post or page. They are easy to configure, as “Heading”, “Paragraph”, “List”, etc. You can move them up and down and save them for further use.

What is a “Page Builder”

Page Builder by SiteOrigin is a plugins useful for creating layout templates or breaking out the page into responsive columns. The content is organized by rows. every row can contain one or several widgets, both are customizable and reusable.
